Addressing Homelessness Through Direct Cash Transfer

LMM recognizes poverty as a prominent barrier to exiting homelessness. In 2021, LMM piloted a Direct Cash Transfer (DCT) program to assist individuals experiencing housing insecurity in successfully reuniting with friends and family or finding their own housing. Check out the fact sheet below to learn more about LMM’s DCT program and how it has positively impacted the lives of individuals facing homelessness.

Food Justice in Cleveland Forum 🍴✊🏼

As a Greater Cleveland Food Bank redistribution center, LMM recognizes the need for food security in Cleveland. We’ll be watching this forum from The City Club of Cleveland next week, and we hope you will too!

Food Justice in Cleveland: Nourishing and Harvesting Equality, November 29th at 5:30 PM, tune in or attend in-person at Morning Star Baptist Church for a conversation on food insecurity. Speakers include; Shirley Bell-Wheeler, Urban Farmer, Revolutionary Love Urban Farm and Kim Foreman, Executive Director, Environmental Health Watch and Marlene Harris-Taylor, moderating.

Free Laptops Available to Those in Need

Compudopt, AT&T, the Cleveland Foundation, and the City of Cleveland are partnering to offer free laptops to those without a working computer. If you believe your household qualifies, please register between now and Friday November 24 at http://wwww.compudopt.org/cleveland. The first 500 families that register will be given a free computer at an in-person event on Saturday, December 2 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Neighborhood Connections at 6601 Euclid Ave, Cleveland, OH 44103.
