Weekly News from Lutheran Metropolitan Ministry
Happy Founder's Day!

Rev. Richard Sering, the founder of Lutheran Metropolitan Ministry
The inaugural LMM Founder's Day on February 4, 2020 was a great success! Current & former LMM staff, LMM Board and friends gathered to honor our late founder, Rev. Richard E. Sering, on his birthday. We spent the day reflecting on stories from the first decade of LMM's existence and appreciating how far the agency has come today thanks to his leadership and influence.

We not only honored Rev. Sering, but multiple other instrumental individuals who were right there with him during the early years of LMM. Ms. Dorothea Lyons, Rev. Erling "Slip" Helland and Dr. Richard Hansler were all honored with portraits created by local artists. Multiple others were welcomed into the LMM 'Founder's Circle' with a formal pinning ceremony.

Thank you to those who attended, including the many who came from other parts of the country to celebrate. Check out the photo gallery for Founder's Day photos. Happy Birthday Rev. Sering and Happy Founder's Day!
