Cuyahoga County Executive Candidates Visit LMM

LMM was fortunate to host the two leading candidates for Cuyahoga County Executive, Chris Ronayne and Lee Weingart, in August for a series of site visits. Both candidates toured LMM's emergency youth shelter and the Men's Shelter at 2100 Lakeside and drove by a Breaking New Ground home. They were then given a tour of the Richard Sering Center, where they received a primer on LMM's Workforce Development programming and Guardianship Services. Through these visits, both candidates learned about LMM's programming, how we currently partner with the County, and areas for future collaboration. Thank you Chris and Lee for spending so much time with us and for your dedication to improving our community.

Honoring the Memory of Jody Grebenc

LMM wants to thank the Grebenc Family and everyone who attended Jody Grebenc's Memorial Fundraiser. LMM staff and Grebenc Family and friends were in attendance at this fundraiser in August, which celebrated the life of Jody and resulted in over $50,000 in donations raised in her honor.

In addition to the fundraiser, the photos above are from the Grebenc family's recent visit to the new computer lab at the Men's Shelter at 2100 Lakeside. The new space has been named the "Connection Corner" in memory of Jody, a longtime, devoted volunteer at the shelter who connected shelter residents through the power of technology.
