Big Gifts, In Small Amounts
Are you interested in making a gift, or increasing the amount of your gift to LMM this year? An easy and reasonable way to maximize your giving to our organization is by breaking down your total donation into small, recurring contributions. A recurring gift is a way to give to LMM that involves withdrawing funds from your account automatically, at regular intervals.
For example, if you want to give $500 to LMM this year, you can break that donation down into 12 monthly, smaller contributions of $41.66. Contributions can be made weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly or semi-annually.
LMM’s programs and services are made possible by generous donations from individuals who care about Housing & Shelter, Health & Wellness, and Workforce Development. If your philanthropy goals align with our mission, please consider a generous donation set up as a recurring gift this year. Click on the “donate” button below; be sure to select your preferred “recurring frequency” as you establish your gift.

Charlynn Carter (pictured on the right) giving Rep. Stephanie Tubbs Jones a red CARE Team jacket
Today we remember Charlynn Carter, a dedicated servant, selfless individual and long-time LMM'er. Please read the reflection below written by Charles R. See, former VP of Community Re-Entry with LMM.
Charlynn Carter, beloved, long-time Community Re-Entry Care Team supervisor, who hosted such notable visitors to LMM Care Team sites, as United States Attorney General Janet Reno, Ohio Governor Robert Taft, Congresspersons Lewis Stokes and Rep. Stephanie Tubbs Jones, senators, mayors, and countless other dignitaries, quietly, and as graciously as she had served, made her transition January 12, 2022.
CMHA seniors, from all across the Housing Authority, lauded Charlynn for her selfless devotion to their care and well-being. Charlynn received Community Re-Entry’s Distinguished Medal of Service for her devotion to her ministry with the residents of the Cuyahoga County Metropolitan Housing Authority.
A grateful community stands applauding and thanking Charlynn for her service. As she departs we acknowledge, “You Done Good.” Farewell, kind and gentle lady.

LMM's Hosts 'Soup for the Soul' to Honor Dr. King
On Friday, January 14, LMM’s Advocacy Department hosted Soup For the Soul - a program in honor of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Gloria Craig, Community Engagement Coordinator, facilitated the conversation, which focused on the people closest to Dr. King, or in other words, his village. Many of these individuals, like activists Bayard Rustin and Claudette Colvin, were central to Dr. King’s fight, but are too often forgotten in the history books. Following the program, soup was dropped off to each of our four main locations for staff and included an inspirational quote.
Thank you to the staff who participated, and appreciation to Dr. King and the many people who stood with him in trying to make this world a better place. Read more about the importance of having a village in Gloria’s A Push Towards Justice blog post.
