Special Announcement - LMM Interim President & CEO
Lutheran Metropolitan Ministry’s Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Sue Cyncynatus, our Chief Financial Officer, will serve in the role of Interim President & CEO upon Drew Genszler’s departure on October 15.

Sue has a high degree of readiness to step in as an interim executive. She has regularly covered this position for shorter terms over her 27 years with the agency. She combines her long-standing commitment to LMM with excellence and adaptability. She keeps the interests of the entire organization at heart, demonstrating great care for her team and for the overall workforce. She will provide steady leadership during this transition time.

Please join the Board in welcoming Sue to this new role and offering her our full support. We are excited to take LMM forward, while the Board embarks on a thorough and inclusive process to select LMM’s next leader in the permanent position.

Please also join us in thanking Drew for his eight years of selfless service to LMM and the people and community we serve together. More to come on a farewell event to take place in early November that will bring together guests and LMM’s Board and Staff, in celebration of Drew’s tenure.

With sincere appreciation for your support and partnership,

Nicole Braden Lewis

On the Issues: Housing and Homelessness
It is essential that the city’s next leader take major strides to end homelessness, increase the availability of affordable housing, and reduce discrimination in the housing search process. Lutheran Metropolitan Ministry, in partnership with several housing advocacy organizations, is asking the next mayor of Cleveland to Protect Cleveland Renters on Day One. This includes introducing legislation that would end Source of Income discrimination and advance Pay-to-Stay protections and establishing a group to develop a comprehensive Renter Bill of Rights. Sign on to this petition to show to the next Mayor of Cleveland that the community supports renter rights!

Then watch the October Cleveland Mayoral Candidate Forum on Housing and Urban Development hosted by Cleveland State University which features mayoral candidates Kevin Kelley and Justin Bibb. We also urge you to read Kelley’s housing priorities and Bibb’s housing priorities which are outlined on their campaign websites.
