Democracy Awakening: Notes on the State of America

LMM President & CEO, Maria Foschia, and LMM Board Chair, Diane Stack, recently attended The City Club of Cleveland's Democracy Awakening: Notes on the State of America. This forum featured Heather Cox Richardson, professor of history at Boston College, author and political historian who spoke with moderator Katie Paris to highlight today's political landscape, as well as how we can move forward into a more equitable future.

“It was an enlightening conversation based on Ms. Richardson’s book 'Democracy Awakening'. There was an energy in the room of this sold-out crowd that was inspiring, and a shared understanding of the call to action at this crucial moment we are in as a country – that we can all embrace a shared civic language that is not about political partisanship, but defending our democracy.”  - Maria Foschia
