Market at Home with LMM!

LMM is excited to take part in Greater Cleveland Food Bank's Market at Home event this Friday at 6:00pm! Market at Home is a week-long online event held to support local restaurants and agencies who have loyally supported  the Food Bank in the past through Market at the Food Bank

As a proud GCFB redistribution center, LMM annually participates in the traditional Market at the Food Bank event to benefit Harvest for Hunger by providing a food station. This year's virtual twist on the event allows you to get involved from home!

This year, the Food Bank has generously partnered with various local organizations and food providers to hold nightly Facebook live streams, in which viewers are able to participate in a raffle featuring participating restaurants, learn how to make a new summer drink or meal, and much more. Make sure to tune in tomorrow at 6:00pm on the Food Bank's Facebook page to support LMM and hear about the latest on our Central Kitchen from our Executive Chef, Scott Teaman. See you LIVE!
 LMM CEO Returns

LMM President & CEO, Andrew D. Genszler
LMM President & CEO, Andrew D. Genszler, is back at LMM this week! Andrew recently made his way back to Ohio after an eight-month deployment with the U.S. Navy. As a Navy Chaplain, he served our country by providing support and guidance to his fellow service members at their shared military base.

As we welcome back Andrew, we thank our Chief Operating Officer, Maria Foschia, for her leadership as Acting CEO during Andrew's deployment, as well as our Board of Directors for their guidance.

If you'd like to welcome Andrew back, please Tweet him @LMMPresident and send your well-wishes!

Racial Equity and Inclusion Resources

Lutheran Metropolitan Ministry has compiled a list of resources for education around racial equity and inclusion. The fight for change and dismantling racism is a long journey, but these 12 resources are a great start to begin or to continue educating yourself. We encourage you to share this list with others.

Brain and Alzheimer's Awareness Month

Brain and Alzheimer's Awareness month is dedicated to raising awareness around the fact that Alzheimer's disease and other dementias are a major public health issue. Alzheimer's is a leading cause of death across the globe that anyone can be susceptible to. During the month of June, the  Alzheimer's Association asks people around the world to wear purple and to fight Alzheimer's disease.

At LMM, we recognize that many of those we serve and the families of those that we serve are impacted by Alzheimer's and other dementias, especially those involved with our Guardianship Services programming. In the month of July, LMM Guardianship Services will be taking part in GIVE65a 65-hour fundraising campaign that creates hope for seniors across the United States. Stay tuned for more info on how you can get involved to support!
