Nestle Donates Nearly 18,000 Meals

LMM's Central Kitchen delivering meals
The increased need for meals for people who are homeless has been abundant throughout COVID-19, with nearly 10,000 meals being served each week out of LMM's Central Kitchen and City Club partner site for eight shelter locations. We're always in need of extra meals, and one company stepped up when they heard about the efforts.

Nestle's Solon office went to work securing donations from their warehouses. Thanks to the company, almost 18,000 Nestle meals made their way to LMM to be served to our most vulnerable. Our staff and shelter residents are very grateful for the kindness and generosity!
Minority Mental Health Awareness Month

In any given year, one in five adults in America faces the realities of living with a mental illness. Minority Mental Health Awareness Month recognizes that background and identity can make access to treatment for mental illness more difficult. LMM's Health & Wellness Services program promote health and well-being, and supports improved quality of life for adults, youth and families across Northeast Ohio. Visit LMM's Health & Wellness page to learn more about these services.
CWRU Student Group Provides 100+ Masks

Case Western Reserve University's Student-Run Health Clinic (CWRU SRHC) has volunteered with LMM for the past 7 years through their Knock Your Socks Off event, where they perform foot exams, blood pressure screenings and foot washing for individuals staying at the shelter. With on-site volunteer activity at the shelter being suspended due to COVID-19, CWRU SRHC found a new way to get involved.

A s part of their 2020 Mask Making Initiative, the student group provided  LMM's Men's Shelter with over 100 hand-made and disposable masks! We're grateful for CWRU SRHC's continuous support of the Men's Shelter.
