Holy Trinity Adult Education

This Sunday, May 31

This weekend we celebrate the Festival of the Holy Trinity: a white, wondrous day at the start of the green, growing season of Time after Pentecost. For over a thousand years, Christians around the world have dedicated the first Sunday after the Day of Pentecost as a special celebration of the mystery of the triune God.

Trinity Sunday confronts our inability to understand God, because no human model or illustration or construct can capture God. And Trinity Sunday invites us to contemplate God's loving presence in all its multivalent glory, because no human model or illustration or construct can capture God.

If words like "multivalent" or "mystery" or "perichoresis" are intriguing to you, join Pastor Nathan in Mygatt's after worship at 10:20 a.m. for an adult education lesson on the Athanasian Creed, one of the ancient symbols of the Christian faith that explores the mystery of the Trinity.

Donations Now Accepted for

July Rummage Sale

MPLC will donate the proceeds from our annual rummage sale this summer to two charities: HOPES Center of Racine

and The Inclusive Bean.

Household items, small appliances, clothing, and other items in GOOD condition are welcome. The sale will take place Friday, July 10 and Saturday, July 11 from 8:30 a.m.- 2:30 p.m.

If you need assistance dropping off donated items, please bring them to the “back door” (16th St. entrance) on Tuesday, Friday, or Saturday mornings from 9:00 a.m. to noon when volunteers will be on hand to assist.

Items may also be dropped off at the back door during church office hours (Monday – Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.). Please ring the bell to alert staff that you need to be admitted, and place items in bins near the door. ALL FURNITURE donations need to wait until the week before the sale, due to space concerns.

If you would like to volunteer with sorting items in the coming weeks on Tuesday mornings, 9:00 a.m. to noon, please contact Jan Fuller.

We are also looking for greeters, cashiers and other volunteers to help on the days of the sale, July 10th and 11th. Please sign up at the link below.
