A "Few" Words From Fr. Robert
What a Beautiful, Busy Week
Last week was a beautiful, busy week for sure! On Monday we had Confirmation practice and the center part of our church was completely filled with young people and their sponsors. Right afterwards there was also a very nice dinner for our school volunteers. It was obvious to me that it really does take a village (lots of people) to accomplish all that our school does for our young people. The Pastoral Council met on Tuesday and I want to thank Barney Lambert for serving as president these last three years. Among other things, we discussed the new candidates for our Pastoral Council. On Thursday, we had our Deanery Confirmation. Just over 120 young people were confirmed. The celebration had to be simulcast into Visitation Hall to handle the overflow crowd. It was very touching. On Friday, we will have our Baccalaureate Mass with Bishop Hartmayer, and on Friday afternoon I will take a long nap! Graduation will occur on  Saturday morning and, while our seniors are ready to move on to the next exciting steps in their lives, they are leaving with many good memories and no small amount of gratitude for having had the chance for a first class Catholic education. Busy, busy, busy, but also blessed, blessed, blessed!

The Magic Number
Someone from our air conditioning company and the diocese felt that our "Occupied Cooling Set Points" were way too low and changed them. In the seminary I never learned anything about "Occupied Cooling Set Points." I knew I was in trouble when last Sunday people sat in church fanning themselves and my voicemail had four messages on a Sunday afternoon. I know when it's cold you can always put something on, but when it's hot the opposite is not the case, especially in church! I know we have a problem and I'm on it.
