DISCOVERING ORTHODOX CHRISTIANITY: You are cordially invited to join Fr. George for the fourth part of the five-session informal adult discussion group for ages 16 and up. The group will meet on Wednesday, February 15, from 7:00 – 8:30pm in the Ministry Room. February’s theme of discussion is “SCRIPTURES & TRADITIONS”. Coffee and refreshments will be offered.
PHILOPTOCHOS NEWS: St. Dorkas Ladies Philoptochos Society would like to thank you for your continuous support of our charities. Please consider becoming a member. Psixosavato (Saturday of Souls) begins on Feb 18th and for the 2 Saturdays following Feb 24th and March 4th. If you would like to donate towards Kolyva, you can leave $10 or make checks payable to PSSNCH Philoptochos. You may also bring your own Kolyva if you wish. CHOIR: Do you enjoy singing or participating in the Divine Liturgy with your voice? Do you want to praise God during services and learn about our rich tradition of Orthodox Music? Then come join the Ss. Nicholas, Constantine & Helen Choir! Rehearsals are Sundays at 9:15 am right before the Divine Liturgy in the Ministry of Music Office.
ALTAR RETREAT WORKSHOP 2023: Scheduled to take place on Sunday, March 12, 2023 after the Divine Liturgy. All boys and men ages 9 and up are strongly encouraged to attend. Please respond to Fr. 50/50 RAFFLE DRAWING: Will be held on Sunday, March 26, 2023. This fundraiser helps to meet the needs of our Church. Your continued support will help make this fundraiser as successful as our past Raffle Fundraisers. For tickets, please contact the Office at (973) 251-2920.
GREEKFEST 2023: Festival Chairpersons (2 to 4 individuals) willing to organize the event through to execution. The dates for this year’s festival are Friday-Sunday, September 22-24 and planning must begin in February. The event needs leadership and past volunteers are here to help you learn the ropes.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: The next phase of the iconography of our church will begin on Monday, February 21st and end on Saturday, March 11th, 2023. Sunday liturgies will continue taking place in the main church.
