Christian Meditation with Rev. Lisa
Monday, May 6 | 1:00 p.m.
Tuesday, May 7 | 7:00 p.m.
Meditation is a practice of beginning again and again. God invites us to sit still in open presences as we are. When we sit, we learn to be gentle and generous like God. We learn to soften to our distracted selves and find the place of true rest under the surface.
A Just Harvest
Tuesday, May 7 | 3:45 p.m.
Spring has returned, yet the need remains. Please sign up in the Parish Hall or on our web site to provide food or to volunteer for our next opportunity to serve a meal at A Just Harvest in the Rogers Park neighborhood.
Garden Work Day
Saturday, May 11 | 9:00 a.m.
We'll be meeting one more time this spring to put the finishing touches on the garden. We still need to repair the fencing, install the irrigation tubing and add some peat and vermiculite to the beds.

Water update - there is water available from a spigot located on the northeast corner of the garden just outside of the fence. We'll get a hose set up shortly. The rest of the spigots should be up and running in the next week or so. We'll keep you posted when that happens.
Golf Outing
Sunday |July 21| 1:30pm
Glenview Prairie Club (formerly known as the Glenview National 9)
Another round of 9 holes followed by a potluck in the Parish Hall. More information to come.

For those who have died:
O God of grace and glory, we pray to you for those we love, but see no longer. Grant them your peace; let light perpetual shine upon them; and, in your loving wisdom and almighty power, work in them the good purpose of your perfect will.

We thank you for giving them to us to know and to love as companions on our earthly pilgrimage. In your boundless compassion, console us who mourn. Give us faith to see in death the gate of eternal life, so that in quiet confidence we may continue our course on earth, until, by the call, we are reunited with those who have gone before; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
