Please join Tim Glennie’s TEAM to Walk to End Alzheimer’s.

The walk will be Saturday, September 17, 2022. The location is:

Denver City Park

2001 Colorado Blvd

The ceremony is at 9 a.m. and the walk will commence immediately following.

Denver Rescue Mission

On Saturday, 10/15/2022, WPUMC has 10 slots for volunteers to prepare and serve breakfast at the Denver Rescue Mission at the Lawrence Street Community Center. The time slot is: 6:15 to 8:30 a.m. Please sign up here.

In order to participate, you must have your COVID-19 vaccination.

The mission does have a dress code: Please dress in a manner that is modest and appropriate for working. Please refrain from wearing opened toe shoes, tank-tops, midriff tops, short shorts, and any clothing that is: tight, low-cut, or has controversial imprints. If you are dressed inappropriately, you may be asked to reschedule. A tip for kitchen volunteers: If you wear a hat (and a pony tail for long hair), you will not be required to wear a hairnet. At this time, masks are required.

Fall Clean-Up

We will have a Fall Clean-Up/Church Work Day on Saturday, 10/22/2022 from 7:30 a.m. until noon. We will have various activities for all those that sign-up to help. Please sign up HERE via our Sign-Up Genius page. We will need volunteers to paint, clean up the grounds, remove the summer flowers and plant some mums for the Fall Festival for the following weekend.

If you have any questions, please contact Caroline Christensen at:  missions@washparkumc.org.

From September 11 – 30, we will conduct our Habitat fundraiser to support Habitat homeowners. Money raised goes toward building materials and supplies for the house we are sponsoring in the Aria development. As building costs continue to soar, Habitat’s vision for “a world where everyone has a decent place to live” is even more critical. To donate to our fundraiser, make checks payable to WPUMC with Habitat on the memo line. You may also send money through the Venmo app to our church treasurer, Michelle Hoskins (michelle-hoskins-17). Please indicate that your Venmo donation is for Habitat as well. Thank you for your support and donation!

Note: If you donate $250 or more, your donation may qualify for the Enterprise Zone Tax Credit. Contact Carol Nelson at customtrainingllc@Q.com for more information.)

Altar Flowers 2022

If you’d like to sponsor Sunday morning altar flowers in honor of an occasion or in memory of someone, please sign up for a date below.
