On Monday, May 18, 2020, the Church Council met to discuss our plans for reopening the sanctuary and offices and resuming in-person worship and on campus activities at Zion.

While we have not established a definitive date for re-opening, we are monitoring the most current data and recommendations from Bishop Pedro Suarez (Florida-Bahamas Synod), the ELCA, the CDC, and the Governor of Florida.

In addition to the data, our re-opening is contingent upon having the proper supplies in hand and securing the commitment of volunteers from within the worshipping community to serve in various ways (i.e. distributing hand sanitizer).

Ensuring that the sanctuary is a safe place for everyone—emotionally, spiritually, and physically—is our top priority.

Please continue to monitor these weekly e-mails and the church website for important updates.

Don't Let This Be You!

We need your pictures! As part of our new church management software (Realm) and our Instant Church Directory, we need to attach a picture of each person and family. Until we can take semi-professional pictures in person, please  e-mail us  your best family picture and pictures of individual family members. If your best picture is not digital, you can mail it to the church and we will scan it and mail it back to you. Thank you for helping us to put faces with names for the entire community!
