We Are Hitting Our
"Quarantine Rhythm"

As we are in our seventh week of "Stay at Home," we are finally hitting a rhythm of staying connected to you and to each other via social media throughout the week.

On Mondays at 9:59 a.m., join Pastor Potter for prayer and reflection on Facebook Live. The method (represented in the graphic) is something you can use every day.

On Wednesdays at 8:00 p.m., join Cantor Schmidt on Facebook Live for Prayer at the End of the Day (Compline). This ancient liturgy gives us permission to bring our day to an end and ask God for a peaceful rest. (You can also replay this liturgy each night, if you choose.)

On Fridays, we are asking YOU to send in videos and greetings that can be shared on our social media platforms. Drew Shimkus is coordinating this project (and also shares many of the inspirational graphics you see on Facebook), and we are grateful for his willingness to volunteer.

Just last night, your council and administrative staff met via Zoom and brainstormed even more ways to stay connected in this time. Stay tuned! We are praying for you, and we hope you are praying for us.
We want to honor our mothers, grandmothers, aunts, and motherly figures!

Send us your pictures and videos! We will be putting together a video to share across our social media platforms. (Names will not be included with pictures.) Wish a Happy Mother's Day to those you love, and join us as we celebrate together.

Send all pictures and videos to Cantor Kurt Schmidt by Monday, May 4th.
May 2020 Prayer List
in Production

If you have any names to add to the Prayer List for the month of May, please e-mail Cantor Kurt Schmidt. If any of the names can be removed (because prayers have been answered), please also let Kurt know. The deadline for the May Prayer List is Friday, May 1st.
Thank you to all of those who have been faithfully sending in their offerings and giving online. We are happy to report that we are mostly where we planned to be in the budget at this time of the year. We have two special opportunities to give, if you are feeling so called:

  • As part of expanding our livestreaming to the sanctuary, we need to purchase a camera ($500) and a tablet ($250) to control the camera (via its proprietary app). If you are interested in giving toward these needed upgrades, please speak with Cantor Kurt Schmidt for more details.
  • We continue our Easter appeal for HOPE South Florida. Remember: your donation will be doubled if given before June 1st.
