Christ is risen! (He is risen, indeed!) Alleluia!

Easter is a season, not just a day. The Easter season lasts for a "week of weeks" (7 weeks) until Pentecost ("the fiftieth day"). There is much to celebrate and be grateful for in the midst of uncertainty. Here are my "thank you's":

Thank you to those who join us weekly online for worship. Thank you to those who are sending their offerings in the mail and/or giving online. Thank you to those who are taking the time and making the effort to contact fellow members of the Zion community. Thank you to those who are praying, perhaps even more than usual. All of these continue to sustain our community. We are still the Church together.

One more point of gratitude and good news: several of us spent time at the church yesterday investigating how we will continue livestreaming when we are together in person. We recognize that our reach (and the reach of the Gospel) is multiplied exponentially by this kind of technology. We are much further along on this checklist than we anticipated! All the time, God is good!

Giving thanks for you,
Cantor Kurt R. Schmidt
Continuing our tradition of Wednesday prayer, Cantor Kurt Schmidt will be leading us on Wednesdays at 8:00 p.m. through Facebook Live .

The bulletin and weekly song are available by clicking on the "Prayer at the End of the Day" graphic.

The saved video will be posted to our website and YouTube channel so that you can continue to pray throughout the week.
We miss your faces!
We want to hear from you!

We are looking for short (2-3 minute) videos or messages to share with our virtual community.

Have a favorite scripture passage to read or hymn to sing? Want to showcase a new hobby or old talent? Want to greet your church community?

Send us your videos, even if it's just saying hello to everyone! We will share them across our social media platforms and website on Fridays.

Don't have video capabilities but still want to share? Send Cantor Kurt Schmidt your greetings, thoughts, and messages to share.
