The CMA continues its participation in a statewide coalition of healthcare and business organizations that are opposed to attempts by some members of the Ohio General Assembly to prohibit vaccination requirements by employers.
Following last week’s failure of HB 435, the Ohio House of Representatives moved the bill from the Health Committee to the Commerce and Labor Committee and held new hearings this week.
In addition to participating in the vaccine coalition, the CMA has reached out to express our concerns and offer to be a resource to Central Ohio’s only legislator on the Commerce and Labor Committee, Representative Mark Fraizer from Licking County.
The core issues remain unchanged. Some legislators are still seeking a “compromise“ that would incorporate some level of exemptions into any vaccine mandate. The next steps and outcome for this legislation is uncertain
