Update from Dr. Robert Falcone with Dr. Mysheika Roberts and Dr. Miller Sullivan

This week, Dr. Falcone sat down with Dr. Mysheika Roberts, the Health Commissioner of Columbus Public Health, and Dr. Miller Sullivan, the Medical Director of Franklin County Public Health.

They discussed the status of our Hospitals, the number of cases in our city and county, the new ODH rules for the quarantine of exposed health care workers, and vaccine prioritization.

Together Counts - Mindfulness with Phil Cass & Dining In with Dr. Anita Somani

We're back with our "Together Counts" series that's aimed at helping our Central Ohio community better understand all the information floating around about COVID-19.

This week we have two great videos!

The first is with Phil Cass, Ph.D., the current head of the Physicians Leadership Academy (PLA). Phil provides some mindfulness tools like deep breathing and gratitude as a way to cope during this prolonged pandemic.

Second, we have Dr. Anita Somani, a local OB/GYN. Dr. Somani talks about the potential dangers of dining in restaurants during the pandemic and offers fun alternatives/tips that still support local restaurants and provide a virtual connection with friends.

Policy & Politics Update - December 11, 2020

The CMA's Public Policy consultant, Malcolm Porter, is back this week to go over what's happening during this lame-duck session. With 4 legislators so far testing positive for COVID-19 the schedule for the remaining year is up in the air.

Public Health Advisory Update

Centers for Disease Control & Prevention and Ohio Department of Health recently shared guidance to reduce the duration of quarantine for close contacts to COVID-19.

Columbus Public Health and Franklin County Public Health jointly endorse the following updated guidelines related to quarantine.

Shortening the time of quarantine may lessen the burden on close contacts and may improve community compliance.
