The Columbus Medical Association staff grew this week with the addition of newly-hired public relations specialist Lance Cranmer.
Cranmer, 43, is a native of Salem, OH, but has lived in Chillicothe for most of the last 18 years.
A single father of three, Cranmer spent the last five years with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), first as the executive director of the Southern Ohio affiliate and most recently with the state agency (NAMI Ohio) as the associate director of the Ohio Adult Care Facilities Association.
The majority of his career was spent in journalism, most notably having served six years as the assistant editor of the Chillicothe Gazette and four years as the city and county government reporter for the Washington Court House Record-Herald.
Cranmer possesses a B.S. in Broadcast Journalism from Bowling Green State University and an M.A. in Journalism with a focus in Public Relations from Kent State University.
“I’m so excited to learn all about the Columbus Medical Association and its affiliate organizations and to spread the word about the great things that are happening,” he said. “Working for an association with such a strong mission to help others is very important to me.”
Cranmer can be reached at lcranmer@cmafohio.org.
