CMA Physicians Interview Candidates to Help Inform OSMA Endorsement Process

This election season several CMA physicians participated in interviews with candidates running for the Ohio General Assembly, as has been our practice for more than a decade. The purpose of these interviews is to give feedback to the Ohio State Medical Association for their formal endorsement process that will be held later this month for candidates from around Ohio.

Celebrating 25 Years of COTS | Education

CMA Affiliate, COTS, is celebrating 25 years of bringing Central, Southeast, and Southeast Central Ohio's health systems together. We'll be highlighting just some of the important work they do each week until the their anniversary event in October.

COTS serves as the regional trauma organization and emergency preparedness and response healthcare coalition for 36 of Ohio’s 88 counties.

Watch to learn more about the education collaborative that has operated under the COTS name for over 20 years. This unique, centralized education model between COTS member trauma center staff allows educators to work together to train current and future trauma care providers in best practice trauma and disaster medicine. It meets the COTS mission to improve the health and safety of our communities.

RSVP Today! CMA PAC Fundraiser 2022

In today’s political environment, more than ever, elected officials and their public policy decisions profoundly impact physicians and their patients. So, the Columbus Medical Association and affiliates (COTS and the PCC) joined together to form a local political action committee (PAC) that raises funds, once a year, to support elected officials who support our work.

This year, committee members, invited City of Columbus Public Health Commissioner, Dr. Mysheika Roberts to be this year's special guest. The fundraiser will be held on Thursday, September 22, from 6:30 - 8:30 pm at the home of Dr. Pat Ecklar.
