The Nebraska District LCMS has a staff position open: Assistant to the President for Mission and Ministry. (Qualifying candidate should be on the synodical roster as minister of religion ordained.) The person in this position will:
  • Resource, coordinate, and promote a discipleship culture that produces good fruit and good works as the Body of Christ grows in vocational witness and works of mercy, and as ministries collaborate to carefully steward and effectively impact God’s kingdom.
  • Provide accountability and oversight for District-owned ministries and granting ministries to carry out the mission opportunities our Lord puts before us.

Congregational News
St. Paul Lutheran Church and School, 27993 Detroit Road in Westlake, Ohio, has extended their New Underwear and Sock Drive until January 2, 2022. To date, 350+ packages have been collected for the Redeemer Crisis Center in Cleveland, Ohio. Additional packages can be dropped off in the bins located at the entrance in the rear parking lot.

The Redeemer Crisis Center, located at Iglesia Cristiana Hispana Lutheran Church, 2970 W. 30th Street in Cleveland, Ohio (LCMS English District) had to reschedule their January 3rd Epiphany party, and it is now going to become a February 18 Hearts for Jesus Party. Donations are needed for the families attending include: Peanut Butter and Jelly, Puzzles, Board Games, in addition to: Ramen noodles, household paper products, canned soups and stew, mac and cheese, etc. These can be dropped off in the bins located at the entrance in the rear parking lot of St. Paul-Westlake (see address above). Your donations are very much appreciated - THANK YOU!
