Mission and Ministry
In the April 2022 issue of StewardCAST, LCMS Stewardship Ministry calls us to a stewardship of sacred time. When the steward’s days and weeks are anchored in sacred time — with set times in the day for the Word and prayer and set times for being gathered by the Holy Spirit for Word and Sacrament in the Divine Service — then it is possible to be faithful in chronological time. Fear of death should not be a deterrent to putting together an estate gift plan. Basking in the glow of Easter, we live today expecting His return and dwelling in the certain hope of the resurrection of our bodies. We can step free from the chains of fear and take action steps with our estate gift plans that loudly profess the hope we have. Today is a great day to get started. Your LCMS Foundation Gift Planning Counselor can help you remain resurrection focused. Contact Eileen Fitzenreiter at Eileen.Fitzenreiter@lfnd.org or 419-822-6461.
The Take Heart Scholarship was launched on March 15th and essays can be submitted until May 2, 2022. The Take Heart Scholarship was developed for you, our Y.I. Club World Changers, who are high school seniors and will soon advance to your next level of higher education. During these times of excitement, anxiousness, and uncertainty, “take heart!” As Christians, we cannot anticipate that life will be perfect or familiar, but when we feel that the world has become difficult, take comfort in knowing that our God has overcome it all! This scholarship is open to all 16-18 year old seniors that have a Young Investors account with LCEF.  Information is available online at https://lcef.org/scholarship/
