Convention News & Updates
CONVENTION DEADLINES EXTENDED
The deadline to submit nominees for District Secretary, Clergy and lay members of the Board of Directors, and for the 2025 Nominating Committee has been extended to March 15, 2022. It is necessary to have a full slate of nominees for each of the five regions for the Board of Directors. Please consider who you would like to represent your region. 
The overture submission deadline has also been extended to March 15, 2022.
 
IF YOUR CONGREGATION HAS NOT RETURNED THE BLUE CREDENTIAL FORMS, PLEASE DO SO AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. THEY ARE DUE BY MARCH 4, 2022.

Pastors and Church Workers
If you have students in your congregation or school that are planning to attend a Concordia College/University or Seminary, they may be eligible for student financial aid from the Ohio District LCMS. CLICK HERE or direct them to the Ohio District LCMS website: www.oh.lcms.org (Mission & Ministry, Grants & Aid) where the applicant can find information about eligibility and the forms to complete. 
All completed and signed financial aid forms for the 2022/2023 school year must be received in the Ohio District office by June 15, 2022.

School News
Joseph A. House Sr., age 89, of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away on Sunday, February 20, 2022. Joseph served as teacher and principal in schools in Iowa and Ohio. He retired from the teaching ministry after serving at Redeemer Lutheran School in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. 
Services will be held at 11:00 AM on March 5, 2022 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio with Rev. Paul Frerichs officiating. Calling hours will begin at 9:00 am.
