Ministry Partners
Genacross Lutheran Services–Napoleon Campus has an immediate opening for a part-time Chaplain. The position will provide a ministry of spiritual care for residents, their families, and staff. This includes, but is not limited to, conducting worship events, initiating spiritual care with each resident, creating a written spiritual care plan (and updating it as appropriate), and being readily available to address the spiritual needs of the campus.
A Master of Divinity and minimum of four units of Clinical Pastoral Education (or comparable pastoral experience), along with five years of previous ministry experience, are required. If interested, potential candidates can apply at: https://genacrosslutheranservices.net/opportunities
Life changes. So also, your gift plan as part of your estate plan needs to change as well. Years ago, you created a planned gift for ministry, to support a congregation you were a part of. Now, you have moved halfway across the country. That ministry no longer exists, yet your financial plans still point to support of it. Your LCMS Foundation Gift Planning Counselor can help you identify the gifts found in your plan and assist you in considering whether they match your current wishes.

When it comes to serving their neighbor, what could two churches – 2,400 miles apart – have in common? Both Grace Lutheran Church in Blaine, Washington, and Christ the King in Memphis, Tennessee, are confronting homelessness in amazing ways. Their stories are inspiring and make you want to join in with them, no matter where you live. Check out these stories and more at InterestTime.org.
Great things are happening, coast to coast, and you can be a part of it.
