14 dogs blessed
Resurrection's annual Blessing of the Animals was held last Saturday in the parking lot at church.
St. Francis of Assisi is renowned for his unwavering love and care for animals. He believed that all living beings were part of God’s creation and deserving of love and respect. St. Francis’ ministry of compassion and kindness towards animals is a timeless lesson that continues to inspire people around the world today.
Each year, our congregation gathers in the spirit of St. Francis to honor his legacy and offer blessings to our beloved pets. These faithful companions have brought joy, comfort, and love into our lives, and the Blessing of the Animals is our way of recognizing and celebrating their presence.
During the service, fourteen dogs and one toad received an individual blessing. No cats participated this year, likely unhappy with the large number of dogs present at the event.

Let's journey together in love
Our annual stewardship campaign will get underway soon with the theme Walk in Love.
Generosity is a journey, it’s a practice that we learn and nurture within our hearts. It just isn’t in our nature to give away what we have worked hard to acquire or to donate our precious time without compensation. It takes something as radical as Love to inspire us to share our time, talent, and treasure with others. This is a journey we make together, a Walk in Love.
