Because Lutherans love to linger at the table. The Senior Social Club enjoyed a delicious casserole lunch and extended, unrushed time with friends last week. They meet the 3rd Thursday of every month. It is not too early to start thinking about your September potluck contribution. Thank you for the photos, Donna! We are better together. | |
Please join us Sundays at 10:30 a.m.
Masks are encouraged but no longer required on the church campus.

Emanuel’s new Little Free Library has undergone repairs and now is located at the Mountain Street entrance. Continued thanks to Bill Salt and the Property Stewards for making sure everything is in tiptop shape.
The Little Free Library is for friends and neighbors of Emanuel’s to share books, build community, and inspire readers. WE ARE UNABLE TO STORE BOOKS FOR THE LIBRARY. Please do not bring any books to the church. If you see a book (or two, or three) in the library that you want to take, please do so. If you have a book or two you want to leave in the library, then you can do that, as well. Learn more at www.littlefreelibrary.org

FREED TO ASK DIFFICULT QUESTIONS
(Part 2)
| |
|
Does the ELCA, but more importantly, local congregations of the ELCA, have the capacity and courage to consider new ways of thinking and being? Lutheran philosopher Tom Christenson loved questions such as these. He is quoted as saying, “It is unfortunate that we do not have a place in our liturgy for the asking of questions.” Read Part II of Being Freed to As Difficult Questions.
