One service only at 9:30 am

Tomorrow we will host our new Bishop, The Right Rev. Amy Dafler Meaux. There will be only one service at 9:30 am followed by a reception in the undercroft.

Bishop Amy was born and raised all over the south, namely the Carolinas and Louisiana. After graduating from Louisiana Scholars’ College, she returned to her home church in Covington, Louisiana to pursue ordination to the priesthood. During this time, she met her husband, Jared. Together, they traveled to Austin where Bishop Amy attended seminary. Twenty-six years later, they have three children and have lived in Dallas, Eastern Kentucky, Little Rock, and now Kansas City. They also have two dogs, Luca and Bethany, and one grand-puppy, Charlotte.

Collection starts July 1

Look for the collection barrel in our Narthex from the Community Services League (CSL) for the collection of supplies for the new school year. Monetary donations are also accepted.

We'll be collecting supplies until August 10. Supplies will be distributed to eligible students at CSL's Back to School Fair at their office located at 200 SE 10th Street in Blue Springs on Tuesday, August 12.

We appreciate your support!

Look for more changes

Work continues to completely finish and furnish our remodeled Narthex.

This Sunday you'll notice a new credenza that has been placed along the east wall as you enter the building. There will be a piece of specially cut glass placed over the top soon, so this week the credenza has a protective covering.

We will be installing a "communications center" above the credenza that will consist of a large, flat screen tv where we will showcase announcements, parish news, and events. We will also be looking at placement of a different bulletin board for postings and relocating the name tags.

More changes on the way as well!
