Neighbors in Need 2022
The Neighbors in Need "BEHOLD!" offering focuses on economic justice. With inflation impacting all of our households, we wanted to provide a way to discuss this topic through a faith lens.

Join us by promoting this year's campaign at your church. Visit UCC Resources to explore the free promotional toolkit, which contains a four-week bible study, coloring book, three posters, social media banners, and a leader's guide. These materials will assist you in planning and carrying out the 2022 NIN campaign.

Most churches will collect the offering on October 2nd, 2022, as a part of World Communion Sunday, but contributions can be made at any time.

Annual Meeting Deadline Reminders
Fall is fast approaching and we are working on finalizing the plans for this year’s Hybrid Annual Meeting to be held on Saturday, October 15th at the Grappone Center in Concord and via Zoom Webinar.

Share a Significant Anniversary:
Are you celebrating a milestone anniversary in the life of your congregation this year?  We’d like the entire Conference to help honor that moment by inviting you to share a one-minute video announcement about your church at our Annual Meeting!  Include your church’s name, location, incorporation date, and one concrete way you see evidence of how your church is "singing a new song".  

Please plan to submit this video no later than August 26, 2022. Contact Ann Desrochers, [email protected] for more information.

PATHWAYS Theological Education Board of Directors Announces Fall Programming Schedule
The PATHWAYS Theological Education Board of Directors invites all questioning, curious
people of faith to join us for our courses this fall.

It can be very difficult for people to pick up their lives and go to seminary these days, especially
if they’re just beginning to sense a call. PATHWAYS Theological Education, Inc., offers
people the opportunity to start at the beginning of the education journey for substantially less
money and time investment per course than seminary courses. Students participate from their own computers on their weekly schedule in the comfort of their own home.

Fall I classes begin mid-August and Fall II classes begin in late September. Download the complete announcement.

Please Remember in Your Prayers...
Let us remember in prayers those who have known and loved two of our pastors who recently passed away: the Rev. James Brown who died earlier this year, and the Rev. Michael McCutcheon who passed on Sunday, August 14.

As the dangers of nuclear disaster loom in the Ukraine, let us pray for peace and the success of diplomatic efforts to end the war.

Let us remember in our prayers the Search Committee appointed to select a candidate for the position of Associate Conference Minister.

Across Our Conference
The Rev. Jennifer Mazur has accepted the unanimous call of North Congregational Church, United Church of Christ, of Portsmouth to become their Pastor and Teacher. Rev. Mazur will begin her ministry at Portsmouth on August 28, 2022.

The Southwest Association of the New Hampshire Conference of the United Church of Christ will gather at the Nelson Congregational Church, United Church of Christ, to install Rev. Eliot Fay as Pastor and Teacher at 3:00 PM on Sunday, August 28, 2022
 
The Rev. Peter Ilgenfritz has accepted the invitation of the First Congregational Church, United Church of Christ, of Littleton to become their Interim Minister. Rev. Ilgenfritz’s ministry at Littleton begins September 6, 2022.

First Church in Jaffrey and the Southwest Association of the New Hampshire Conference of the United Church of Christ will gather to celebrate the Installation of the Rev. Stephen Miller as Pastor and Teacher at 3:00 PM on Sunday, September 11, 2022.

The Merrimack Association will hold its Fall Meeting on Sunday, October 2, 2022 at the First Congregational Church, Meredith.

The Southwest Association of the New Hampshire Conference of the United Church of Christ will gather at the United Church in Acworth, United Church of Christ, to install Ms. Maureen Adams as Pastor and Teacher at 3:00 PM on Sunday, October 30, 2022.

The Southwest Association will hold its Annual Meeting on Sunday, November 06, 2022 at 1:00 PM via Zoom.

The Rev. Gordon Rankin will be preaching at the Congregational Christian Church, United Church of Christ, in Franklin, for the celebration of their 200th Anniversary.

The Rev. Richard Slater will represent the NH Conference at the Installation Service for the Rev. Eliot Fay, newly called as Pastor and Teacher of the Congregational Church, United Church of Christ, in Nelson.
