Dear Church of the Saviour Family,
Holy Week began yesterday with Palm Sunday, commemorating Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem. With shouts of Hosanna, the crowds recognized the promised Messiah, but this celebratory arrival also signals the solemn events of his Passion and Crucifixion that soon follow.
From 8 AM-8 PM this week through Saturday, the Welcome Center and hall outside of the Sanctuary will be open to the public as we invite you to journey through the moments leading to the cross at your own pace, presented through a series of twelve evocative images. These Holy Week Reflections each capture a moment in the final hours of Jesus’ earthly life, drawing us deeper into the suffering, love, and sacrifice of our Savior.
Then, this Friday evening at 7:00 PM, we will gather corporately for a special Good Friday service. The service will include a blend of traditional and modern worship songs, the observance of communion, and a brief message by Pastor Drew. Nursery care will be available.
When we come together again on Easter Sunday, may our hearts overflow with worship, gratitude, and joy as we declare together that He is Risen! This year we will have three identical Easter services at 7:30 AM, 9:00 AM, and 10:30 AM. Nursery will be available for each, and we will keep our usual Sunday schedule for kids and students.
At 9 AM, we will feature a special interactive discussion on two video clips from The Bible Project and Tim & Kathy Keller. This is a great opportunity to invite a friend who may be exploring the meaning of Easter. This discussion, titled Got Questions, will be held in room A109/111. Registration is encouraged but not required, so feel free to stop in, even if it's a last minute decision.
Families are welcome to have their young children participate in more than one of the Kids' Ministry offerings if attending multiple services, serving in another ministry, or participating in the interactive 9 AM Got Questions class. Please visit coswayne.org/easter for a campus map and complete schedule.
As we anticipate welcoming many visitors on this celebratory day, would you consider parking in one of the back parking lots, and attending an earlier service?
May the solemn reflections of Holy Week deepen your faith, and may the joy of Easter fill your heart with peace, hope, and renewal.
In Christ,
