Fr. David welcomed with food, fun, and prayer
Both our parishes welcomed our new priest, Father David Casey, to New Orleans with events at our home churches this week and last. ANNUNCIATION VESTRY MEETS THIS SUNDAY AT CHURCH FOLLOWING THE SERVICE
Sponsor Altar Flowers
Now that we are back in the church for worship, we need people to sponsor altar flowers! A donation of $40 is suggested and the sponsor will get to take a bouquet home after the service, to enjoy or give away to bless someone else. Honor the life of someone departed, or celebrate an occasion! Altar guild members will use remaining flowers to show appreciation for guest clergy or other helpers, to let an absent member know they are remembered, or to brighten the spirits of someone in need. Email Suzanne to let her know you wish to sponsor an arrangement.
CREATIVITY for kids this Sunday at 10:15 AM!
FUN WITH LITURGICAL COLORS AT ANNUNCIATION

FOR KIDS

During the months of June and July, our children can participate in a summer art series on the liturgical colors of the Episcopal Church, led by Meghan Howell. Each Sunday at 10:15 am, the children will meet in the Godly Play room to learn about the color of the week and contribute to our grand masterpiece.

HELPERS NEEDED TO ASSIST WITH WORSHIP

Now that we are beginning to get back with a normal worship schedule, we need to make another appeal for those who would consider reading (Lector) or serving the priest (LEM) during our services. We have lost lectors due to death and physical impairment and the LEMs are starting to age out, which is a problem since we don’t have any acolytes. We have a couple of candidates for acolyte but their training is not yet complete.

THANKSGIVING FOR A BOUNTIFUL CELEBRATION

Thanks to all who baked, cooked and toiled to make the reception for Father Casey on Tuesday evening in the Parish Hall a success. There was a cornucopia of delights for one and all, even though H.E.’s request for MREs to be added to the fare was not honored!!

BRING OUT YOUR GLASS!

Our Glass recycling sucess continues at MT OLIVET! Bins outside the courtyard fence from 9 AM to 1 PM Sundays. Recycle that glass please!
Thursday Noon Bible Study
Mount Olivet's weekly Bible study group has begun Ecclesiastes, to be followed by Hebrews--an Old Testament book paired with a New Testament epistle. Meets Thursdays at noon on Zoom. Email Heidi for details on how to join.

Prayers are offered for the repose of the soul of Jennifer Baker, mother of Sam and H.E. Milstead's daughter-in-law, Tina.
Prayer requests will automatically expire from our email announcements after one month. If you want to renew a request, just let us know. Except for prayers for the departed, it is our policy to refrain from publishing full names when the request comes from another person.
