IRS Increases Business Mileage Rate for Remainder of 2022
For the final six months of 2022 the IRS has increased the standard mileage rate for business travel to 62.5 cents per mile, up 4.0 cents from the rate announced for January 1, 2022. This rate represents the maximum an organization can reimburse an employee without the reimbursement being treated as taxable income. This new rate became effective July 01, 2022.

The 14.0 cents per mile driven in service of charitable organizations remains unchanged. This represents the rate an individual (not an employee) can use on their tax return to deduct miles driven in service of a charitable organization.

"Nurturing Our Creativity for Life and Ministry"
Clergy Convocation 2022

September 19-21
Retreat Leader - Rev. Dr. Meg Hess

Writer Elizabeth Gilbert defines creativity as “choosing the path of curiosity over the path of fear.” If we are created in the image of a creator God, then creativity is the essence of our identity. Yet in a ministry filled with endless demands, how do you support your creative curiosity for life and ministry?

This September, the Convocation by the sea invites us to explore the depths of the creative life. In our time together we will broaden our understanding of creativity, identify our creative heritage, and cultivate practices that will nourish our creativity. Come prepared to rest, play, and to explore ways to replenish and dip into your creative well. Return to your ministry refreshed for preaching, pastoral care, and leadership.

Dr. Hess is a NH Licensed Pastoral Psychotherapist with a practice in Nashua, NH, a Professional Certified Coach with the International Coach Federation, and a Certified Narrative Coach. Meg serves on the faculties of the Leadership in Ministry Workshops and The Mindfulness Coaching School.

Ordained clergy and those serving in authorized ministries in NHCUCC may register at: https://cvent.me/yvYxd2 to be put on the "waitlist". Waitlisted registrants will be contacted only in the event of a cancellation.

Please Remember in Your Prayers...
Let us remember in prayer those who have known and loved Bob James, especially his wife, the Rev. Mary James, their children Dorian, Dan, Chris and Molly, and their five grandchildren. Bob was active in the local and wider church, and served for many years as a member and Chairperson of the Carroll-Strafford Association’s Committee on Church and Ministry.

Let us remember in our prayers the Search Committee appointed to select a candidate for the position of Associate Conference Minister.

Let us finally offer prayers for the well-being of our authorized ministers serving in parish and non-parish settings as they attend to the needs of our people in a time of adversity, and endeavor to bring renewed vitality to our congregations in these waning days of the pandemic.

O God, in your tender mercy,
Hear our prayers!
