THIS SUNDAY

Life is a journey, God knows.  At times, unbearably difficult. And so we must bear one another’s burdens.  We must pray for one another, nourish one another, weep with one another, rejoice with another. Sometimes we must just learn to leave one another alone.  In short, we fellow travelers, must love one another.

This Sunday the band is back, to lead worship with Kevin, Susan, and special guest, Wesam Almasalmeh. Wesam’s family knows about the unbearably difficult journey of the refugee. Their story is part of our story at Saint Andrew’s. It is indeed a story of love. Please join us this Sunday, and welcome Wesam and Waed Almasalmeh.

We are pilgrims on a journey,

Fellow travellers on the road;

We are here to help each other

Walk the mile and bear the load.

COMMUNITY NEWS

UCW SOUP CHALLENGE

What: St. Andrew’s UCW challenges you to make a donation to the “School Breakfast Program” at Joseph Howe Elementary School.

Where: From your very own home.

When: The entire month of November.

How:  Everytime you have a bowl of soup in November (or if soup’s not your thing, your favourite meal or treat) .... toss a loonie, toonie (or more) in a jar.

Why:  Help give hungry kids at Joseph Howe Elementary a really great start to their day.  Last year we donated $2,546 to this very worthwhile program, let’s do it again!

Our challenge to you - Eat and Donate for the month of November - make a difference right in your own community!

URGENT CALL FOR COUNTERS

Scott and Ellen Taylor have faithfully and consistently stayed after worship to count the offering. Every... single... Sunday.

Great thanks to them - but we used to have a roster of counters, and that's the right thing for us to do. Please - join the roster, take a turn, so Ellen and Scott can take a break.

It's not difficult, and we will walk you through the process. It's not long - 20 minutes or so after worship. And more who sign up, the fewer the turns. So get your friends to sign up too.

The offerings we receive are worthy of our care and attention. Please sign up on the bulletin board in the sanctuary or send an email by clicking this link.

SOCIAL JUSTICE AT SAINT ANDREW'S
