The Orphan Grain Train (OGT) is assisting those affected by the wildfires in Maui, preparing a shipment of food, water, wheelchairs, etc. If you would like to donate to help with purchasing the necessary items or with the cost of transporting these items, read the OGT letter dated 8/29/23 HERE. It also describes how OGT has provided assistance to local organizations in response to previous disasters. It’s almost here! The 6th Annual Lutheran Oktoberfest is on Saturday, September 9, 2023 from Noon to 10:00 pm at the Memphis Picnic Area in the Metroparks in Brooklyn, Ohio. Invite your family, friends, church members and neighbors! Fun includes Midway games, dunk tank, live band, corn hole tournament, and much more! MORE INFO 

Benjamin Heinz is a seminarian student at Concordia Seminary-St Louis, currently serving in his vicarage year. He is also an artist, producing artworks for use by the church, under the name ConcordForge Studio. One of his current projects is a coloring book series based on the Gospel readings for each Sunday, following the lectionary readings for the three-year and the one-year lectionaries. So far, he has available for purchase and download the collection for Advent through Epiphany. He plans to release another collection, Ash Wednesday through Ascension/ Easter 7 in early 2024.
