Efforts are being made to connect youth and families from LCMS congregations. Many of our congregations have very small numbers when it comes to youth. So, let's be intentional in bringing these small groups together for a fun event or meaningful Bible study!

In order to be supportive, the Ohio District is collecting the names of those presently serving youth and families in their congregations. Once the list is complete, any church can contact the District Office to learn who to get in touch with at other churches close by.

PLEASE RETURN this Youth and Family Ministry Information Form so our lists can be complete and helpful! Thank you!

Ladies in Service of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Austintown, Ohio contributed $3000 to the Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning County and $300 to the Concordia Lutheran Church Food Distribution site in Youngstown, Ohio from their Fall Rummage Sale held October 7 & 8. “We give glory to our God for the ability to serve our area’s needs in this manner, and plan to have a future Spring 2023 rummage sale to serve others again.”

The Live Nativity at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Vermilion, Ohio, will take place the weekend of December 10-11, 2022. MORE INFO

This is the weekend for the “We Care” toy drive, benefitting underprivileged children in the Cleveland area! You can drop off toys at St. Paul Lutheran Church and School, in Westlake, Ohio between 10:00 AM-4:00 PM on November 25-27, 2022, or go to: www.stpaulwestlake.org where you can shop online and have the toys delivered directly to the church during the month of November.

Individuals are needed who play the organ for worship services in our area Lutheran congregations. If you know of anyone who has an established background in playing piano and would like to commit to helping the music in our churches continue, please contact Gabriele Wert at [email protected]. Students interested in signing up for lessons should be at least 12 years of age and play piano or another keyboard instrument at an intermediate level. The location of instruction can be your church or another location close by. There will be a nominal fee, but want to make training easily accessible to the individual student.
