Tamale sales
were outstanding! Emanuel's youth now have $1,620.55 going toward camp and other activities, and the Day School brought in a whopping $3,184.03 for their educational endeavors.
ELCA GOOD GIFTS
total is currently $4405. We were able double $3835 of our donations with a matching national donor! Emanuel's families are sponsoring the following:
- 4 Refugee families will be fed for one month
- 10 Honeybees
- 10 Goats
- 10 Water filters
- 10 Bibles
- 21 Chicks
- 10 School fees and uniforms for girls
- 3 Seed and Gardening Tool kits
- 2 Latrines
- 5 Roosters
- 2 Fruit Tree Farms
- 1 Share of a Safe Water Project
- 2 Health Clinics will be stocked for one week
- 2 Goats with flocks of Chicks
- 20 Farmers will receive manure
Donations to ELCA Good Gifts can be made at anytime of the year. The office still has ornaments if you would like to give one as a last minute gift.

HEALING THROUGH CONVERSATION
, a support group for those who have lost a loved one to death, will meet on
Thursday, January 9
at 10 a.m. in the Family Life Center. This month's session will focus on where each of us are on our own journey through grief.
FOOD, FUN & FELLOWSHIP
(single, divorced or widowed friends) meets on
Sunday, January 12
at Noon in the Women’s Ministry Room. Everyone is to bring a favorite dish to share.
CHRISTIAN CUPBOARD
collects food and other non-perishable items all year long. The following items are always welcome: sugar or flour (5-10lb bags), canned beans of all kinds, dry beans, travel-size personal care items, canned fruit, peanut butter, oatmeal, cereal, spaghetti sauce and pasta, vermicelli, canned soups, canned/pkg. tuna or chicken, Hamburger/Tuna Helper, and empty egg cartons. Receptacles are in the Narthex and at the Mountain St door.
FLOWER ARRANGEMENTS IN THE NEW YEAR
: If you are interested in placing flowers or a plant on the altar, lectern or pulpit areas in honor of a family member, birthday, special holiday or other reason, please sign the poster board on the wall across from the church office. Marsha or Elizabeth will contact you for details that week. You may provide the arrangement yourself or they will make it for you. This is a ministry which allows you to remember special occasions or those close to you for our Sunday worship services and assist the church in providing arrangements each Sunday.
SUNDAY RADIO BROADCAST:
If you are interested in sponsoring a KWED 1580AM radio broadcast of our Sunday service in honor of a family member, birthday, holiday or other special event, please contact Sherry in the church office and sign the poster board in the hall across from the office. Our radio broadcaster of the week will announce your sponsorship on air during the service. This ministry allows you to remember special occasions during our worship services while, at the same time, defraying Emanuel’s budget costs to sponsor a weekly Sunday broadcast.
