Because Lutherans like BABIES: it is thrilling that Emanuel's Day School has a new infant care room in the Ark, the building across the street from the church. The Day School now has a total room count of 7 and total student population of over 70. This additional room was made possible through the incredible efforts of our Property Stewards and a large handful of Habitat for Humanity volunteers. Thanks to all for the wiggle room and loving space to grow and learn! We are better together.

Please join us Sundays at 10:30 a.m.

We have resumed in-person services in the sanctuary. Covid-19 safety protocols still apply. To best love and protect all our neighbors, masks and social distancing are required while in the church building. The congregation will be invited to sing during worship while masked.

STORIES OF HOPE
Our year of being an intentional church began with the new year, celebrating people of color, and women of history. As April wraps up, we continue our month-long celebration of hope with stories of hope and joy.
The story bellow is read to you by Phyllis Johnson and is entitled, "Being a Bucket Filler." You can catch other stories of hope and joy that were shared this month on Emanuel's YouTube channel here.

TLU News & Updates: April 2021
|
|
Greetings from TLU! As our academic year moves into its final weeks, we celebrate the more than 220 students who will graduate from Texas Lutheran on May 8, and we honor the work they have done as students here who will now go out to serve and lead in our world. In this email, you’ll find news on other traditions that come as our year is completed, including our Student Academic Symposium, Celebration of Service, and Choir Concert.
We are busy planning for academic year 2021-22, and excited for the potential it holds to allow us to be a more active and lively campus. Watch for further details as we finalize our reopening plans and begin to share more on next year’s campus events, including our outstanding Brown Cultural Enrichment series. We’ll also share more in the weeks ahead about our campus pastor search.
As always, I remain grateful for your support and for all the ways you join with us to strengthen the presence of Lutheran higher education in Texas.

For many years, Emanuel’s Lutheran Church of Seguin has supported the Lutheran Advantage Scholarship which offers highly qualified Lutheran students the opportunity to continue their education in a challenging and nurturing faith-based environment.

|
Emanuel's Office Staff is working both at the office and at home. Our schedules are staggered so that someone is in the office Mondays through Thursdays from 8-5. It is best to make an appointment or call before coming in. Everyone is still accessible via email and phone.
More office celebrations rounded out the month of April. Birthday wishes abounded for Emanuel's Custodian Pauline and Emanuel's Day School Director Victoria. Birthday celebrations were so quiet last year it is a joy to finally shower our friends with love.
