Because Lutherans are drawn to light: Like the light of the star that guided the magi to Jesus, the light of Christ reveals who we are: children of God who are claimed and washed in the waters of baptism. We are sent out to be beacons of the light of Christ, sharing the good news to God's love to all people. SPECIAL CALLED ANNUAL MEETING rescheduled to Sunday, January 19, 2020 in light of the Point of Order brought to our attention on Sunday, December 29. Immediately following the celebration of Holy Communion, this meeting will take into consideration with potential action the 2020 budget and 2020 Council members. Be on the lookout for the notice and agenda for said meeting in your mail and email.

CONGREGATION INFO SESSIONS presented by the Council about the Constitution, Bylaws, and Continuing Resolutions will be held at 9:15 a.m. in the Women’s Ministry Room on Sundays, January 12 and 19. Please join us so that you are informed about the process and any modifications prior to the February 2, 2020 Special Called Congregational Meeting with vote on updating the constitution to the ELCA model.

HEALING THROUGH CONVERSATION , a support group for those who have lost a loved one to death, will meet on Thursday, Jan. 9 at 10am in the Family Life Center. This month’s session will focus on where each of us are on our own journey through our grief.

CONFIRMATION RETREAT is January 10-12 at Camp Chrysalis. “What Does this Mean!?” will focus on the Ten Commandments. Please pray for our young learners and their leaders.

FOOD, FUN & FELLOWSHIP (single, divorced or widowed friends) meets Sunday, Jan. 12 at noon in the Women’s Ministry Room. Everyone is to bring their favorite dish to share.

TUESDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY RETURNS on January 14 at 7:30 a.m. in the Family Life Center with a new study on Jesus Christ as we find him present in both the Old and New Testaments. What does the Old Testament teach us about the coming Son of God and how does the New Testament witness to those prophesies fulfilled?

COUNCIL RETREAT at Ebert Ranch Camp is January 24-26. This will be a time for our church staff and Council to plan, prepare, and pray about the year that is to come, all of our events, work on a new strategic plan, and implement new structures for our church leadership. Prayers for their time together is appreciated.

SWT HIGH SCHOOL GATHERING at Camp Chrysalis will be February 21-23. Registration for “Be (Loved)” closes on February 14. Please let Pastor Kelsie know if you are able to attend this great event. Registration costs are covered by the church, but we need to know numbers for cabin space. The earlier we know how many, the better!

2nd Sunday: Sandbox Stories, Kindergarten to 4th Grade (during worship) ELYO, High School (9:15 - 10:15 a.m.)
3rd Sunday: Bible, Faith & Science 5th -8th Grade (during worship)
Confirmation: 6th-8th Grade (after worship, schedule varies each month)
ELYO: High Schoolers meeting monthly at 9:15 on the 2nd Sunday in the Youth Room off the Fellowship Hall for breakfast, discussion, service, games and fellowship. We also gather once a month for a fun outing. Check out the calendar for fellowship events!
