Because Lutherans love group photos (pt. 3). Our third annual Emanuel’s Beach Bunch trip to Port Aransas was a blast! We fished, we fellowshipped, and we feasted! We concluded our time together in worship Sunday morning reflecting together on Psalm 46 and Mark 4 and sharing Communion. We cannot wait for next year’s festivities. We are better together.

WORSHIP AT EMANUEL'S

Sunday Worship at 10:30am is in the sanctuary, online on YouTube, and on radio KWED AM 1580.

The Holy Trinity, Year C

“O Lord our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!” Today we celebrate the holy Trinity. Paul writes that through Jesus we have peace with God, whose love pours into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, giving us lasting hope. We celebrate the gracious One-in-Three, eternal Three-in-One, as we worship in community; as we share water and word, bread and wine; and as we bring God’s love and hope to our neighbors.

On Father's Day, we give thanks for fathers and those who serve fathering roles in our lives. We remember those for whom this day is difficult, and pray that we all might experience God's nurturing and unconditional love.

BEING THE CHURCH

PASTORAL CARE NOTICE

Pastor Marcus is on vacation Saturday, June 14 – Saturday, June 28. For pastoral emergencies during this time please call the church office (830-379-5046) or Vicar Rudy Salazar (210-387-5677).

The church is better when leaders have time to rest. Emanuel's graciously provides time to recharge. We all wish Pastor Marcus and Kristen safe travels, refreshed spirit, merry memory making, and renewed energy.

We'd like to help folks celebrate Father's Day with desserts by providing homemade baked goods for purchase via a freewill offering (no set prices). Only cash and checks are accepted. Cakes, pies, cookies, cupcakes, and more will be available for purchase in the narthex.

The Wired Word, a new summertime weekly "drop-in" study, will take place on Thursdays at 10am in the Family Life Center. (We will NOT meet June 19.) The Wired Word "... facilitates group discussions about important matters of faith raised by news of the week." Can't make a particular Thursday, or two? That's okay. Every lesson is unique. Just bring yourself and your favorite Bible whenever you can make it.

PUERTO RICO MISSION TRIP 2025

A month from today we arrive at Camp Roig, where faith and service meet. This experience is about more than just construction - it is about connection. Meet more of our Mission Team prepared to answer Jesus' call to serve our neighbors in love. Join us as supporters through prayer, encouragement, and generosity.

Jeanne shares, "I was honored to go to Puerto Rico last year in April with Emanuel's Lutheran Church.  I am looking forward to seeing the wonderful people that we met during our last trip and meeting new people too. It is also a great time to get to know our fellow church members.  A trip like this makes you realize how blessed and rich that you are. This trip will show you how giving back to someone else is so important and it makes you feel so fulfilled."

Deanna was a part of a mission trip that went to Brazil when she was 13 years old. She is currently on the Southwestern Texas Synod Office of the Bishop Staff as Director of Operations and an active BSA leader. "This trip will be a huge stretch for me, but I know I can do the work and I am ready to serve."

From Sarah: "My first and only other mission trip was April 2024 to Puerto Rico and Campamento Luterano. I am looking forward to working with and learning from my siblings in Christ to help rebuild at camp so they can create opportunities for youth and adults to grown in their relationships with Christ and one another while having fun. I am excited to bring this experience back home to share with others and in turn help better serve our local community."

Darlen went on the Puerto Rico trip in April 2024. "I am looking forward to returning to complete what we started last year with the camp. It was an amazing experience to be able to help and see the pleasure and smiles on their faces.I want to learn to help others in their needs and not expect anything back from them except love."

Donations may be made via the links below. For checks, please add “Puerto Rico Mission Trip” in the memo line.
