Because Lutherans are resilient: During tough times, we lean on God in ways we never imagined. The ebb and flow of faith practices provides a frame-work to order our days. Throughout it all, The Holy Spirit is at work as we hear God's Word, share in Christian communion, proclaim good news, serve and strive for justice. Gradually, we realize there is a lessening of our burdens, light on our path, and hope for the journey. Thanks be to God! We are in this together. WE ARE BETTER TOGETHER. We may be apart, but we are not alone.

Front page news! It was fun to see our own Albert Lindemann in the Seguin Gazette this week. His five daughters organized a surprise birthday parade on October 4th for his 90th birthday, complete with firetrucks and balloons. The new nonagenarian said, "It was amazing. It was great. It was just so great, I couldn't believe it. I know I've got some wonderful kids, but I didn't know they could pull this (off), but they did." Happy Birthday, Albert!
You are invited to share your milestones, too! If something of note has happened while we've been apart, please let us know. Did you celebrate an anniversary? Retire? Witness a tot's first step or a kid loosing a tooth? Send your pics our way at info@emanuels-seguin.org.

October 1, 2020 UPDATE:
Emanuel's Congregation Council has approved in-person worship, inside the sanctuary, to begin Sunday, October 4th at 10:30 a.m. Guadalupe County positivity rate reached 2.94% on September 18, 2020 which allows us to enter Phase 3 of our return protocols.
If you are not feeling well, are at-risk of infection, or simply not ready to be around others in close proximity, we invite you to join us live at 10:30 a.m. on Facebook or on KWED AM 1580 radio.
Below you will find the updated 2020 Covid-19 Return to Church Plan outline with more details on worship specifics, small group ministries, and other gathering policies. Protocol necessary for our successful return to in-person worship is also listed.
Keep in your prayers our leaders as they continue to be the church while navigating strange waters. It is with grace and space for all that we move forward.
