Because Lutherans love one another as he loves us. Following this commandment, the Compass Cooperative youth baked communion bread for our partnering churches to be shared during Holy Week services. Join us as our Lenten observance comes to an end and we gather with Christians around the world to celebrate the Three Days of Jesus' death and resurrection. We are better together.

Resurrection of Our Lord: Easter Day, Year C

“The last enemy to be destroyed is death,” Paul writes. Today Christ is risen, and we gather together with astonishment and joy. Christ is risen, and we have been set free from the bonds of death. Christ is risen, and we are forgiven. Christ is risen, and with the women at the tomb and Peter, we are amazed. Let us rejoice: Christ is risen indeed! Alleluia!

FLOWERING OF THE CROSS

We will be flowering the cross on Easter morning. Please bring some fresh-cut blooms from your garden, the flower shop, or even HEB! The cross will be on the steps outside the church entrance. Before the service, add you blossoms where there’s space. We look forward to transforming that old wooden cross into a sign of blossoming grace and hope. May it become a sign for us!

BEING THE CHURCH

EASTER BRUNCH and EGG HUNT will be on the lawn following the 10:30am service. The Congregational Care Team invites you to enjoy some hot coffee and breakfast goodies on this festive, glorious morning. There are signup sheets in the Narthex and Chapel entrances if you would like to delight us with one of your breakfast specialties, bring juice, or help serve/clean-up. Thank you!

SATURDAY WAS EGG-CEPTIONAL!

Eggapalooza, our third community-wide egg hunt with the Believe It Foundation and TLU Campus Ministries, was a HUGE success!!! Over 1000 kids showed up to hunt for 30,000 eggs bright and early on a glorious Saturday morning. Special THANK YOU to our Emanuel’s Outreach and Service Team for your vision and planning that created such a monumental gift for our community. We could not have pulled this off without our fabulous volunteers and the incredible TCRR sponsorship, TLU and Navarro ISD students, staff, and faculty, and our amazing church volunteers! We can’t wait to do it again next year for even more kids and with even more eggs!!!

Confirmation Schedule

SUNDAY ADULT CLASSES

THE HERITAGE CLASS meets at 9:15 am Sunday mornings on Level 3 in room 307. Participants explore the deeper meaning found in the Bible and seek to unlock its wisdom through fellowship and robust group discussion, making the Bible relevant and applicable to daily life.

This spring, our Bible lessons follow the theme “Exclusion and Embrace,” a series in two units during Lent and the weeks following that encourage us to consider what we need to let go of and what we need to take on as followers of Jesus.

“WE HAVE SEEN THE LORD” Devotions for the Easter Season (Family Life Center): April 27 – June 1 at 9am. After Easter, the risen Lord appeared 12 times to his followers. We will follow these experiences of those who were the chosen witnesses, believers who were then sent out – as we are sent – to testify to good news that is absolute fact: Christ is risen! He is Risen indeed! Alleluia!

THE JOY CLASS: Bible stories and songs for adults with intellectual disabilities at 9am on the first Sunday of the month in the Women's Ministry Room.

Online giving is safe, simple, and quick to do through our giving link. One time or recurring donations can be indicated. You can still mail in your offering to the Church by sending a check to: Emanuel's Lutheran Church, 206 N. Travis Street. Seguin, Texas 78155
