Because Lutherans love to prepare for worship: These days, preparing for worship includes editing video and mowing the lawn! Richard Y. has been getting ready for Worship on the Lawn for months now. (Thank you Richard!) Come admire his handiwork on the 27th. We can't wait to wave to you across the well trimmed grassy expanse at the corner of Travis and Mountain streets. We are in this together. WE ARE BETTER TOGETHER. We may be apart, but we are not alone.

As we inch towards safely returning to in-person worship our first trial run will be on Sunday, September 27 at 8:00 a.m. on the church lawn at the corner of Travis and Mountain Streets. Services on this date will also be online and on the radio at our regular 10:30 a.m. worship time.
Items to bring to Worship on the Lawn:
- Mask for safety of others
- Chair or blanket to sit on
- Umbrella, hat, and/or sunglasses
- Something to drink
- Rejoicing heart and voice
Please Remember:
- 6-feet of distance between all parties
- We will want to hug, but please wave from a distance instead
- "Sharing of the Peace" will be done by waving or offering a distanced sign of peace
- Communion will be practiced from our seats with prepackaged elements
- Offering may be dropped off upon arrival or departure in designated baskets
We look forward to additional Worship on the Lawn services on October 25 and November 29. Please feel free to share your comments and concerns as we learn to do church in new ways together.

“ Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.' "
- Mark 12:30
Holy Yoga is the physical and spiritual practice of connecting our mind, body, and spirit with God. Our goal is to facilitate a Christ-honoring experience that offers an opportunity for believers and non-believers alike to authentically connect to God through God’s Word, God’s people, worship, and wellness. Using engaging Scripture, prayer, meditation, movement, worship, and often uplifting music, we create space in our minds, bodies, and souls for God.
If you have ever considered the powerful and proven benefits of practicing yoga but have been apprehensive about the intent or even ‘not being flexible enough’, know that you are welcome here! Holy Yoga is an amazing opportunity to connect with God, yourself, and your community.
Students will discover what Holy Yoga is, learn Holy Yoga terminology, participate in breath work and Scripture meditation, receive in-depth instruction of primary poses, and experience a gentle Holy Yoga class. There is a suggested fee of $25 for the four week series. All fees and donations will be split 50/50 as a donation to a local non-profit decided upon by the participants and funds to continue education for different Yoga certifications in chair, kids, touch, etc.

You are invited to share your milestones, too! If something of note has happened while we've been apart, please let us know. Did you celebrate an anniversary? Retire? Witness a tot's first step or a kid loosing a tooth? Send your pics our way at info@emanuels-seguin.org. We've been missing hugs and handshakes, but it's been so long we need to see FACES!

THE CARE CLOSET
at Emanuel's
For the last few years the Emanuel's office has maintained a small Care Closet for people who come to our door during the day in need. We provide a list of area resources, prayer if requested, a bottle of water, and often a bag of items for the individual. This is not a formal ministry of the church, but an effort to extend compassion to our siblings who come to us for comfort. Our small closet can always use the following: protein bars and other small snacks, gift cards to walkable food places like Dairy Queen, new socks, hygiene items (soap, toothpaste, feminine products, etc.). As winter approaches, new warm hats and gloves would be well received. Donations are welcome at any time.
