Because Lutherans love (historic) group photos: These Emanuel's teens from the NINETEEN-twenties aren't so different from our current confirmation class. They, too, lived through a pandemic and wondered what the future might hold in store. Both groups were loved, guided and prayed for during their catechism classes by their pastors and families. All these youth were given solid foundations for their life-long adventures of living out their Christian faith. Excited to see our handsome 2020 Confirmation Class this Sunday! We are in this together. WE ARE BETTER TOGETHER. We may be apart, but we are not alone.

It has been a difficult year to both grieve and celebrate the lives of those we have loved and lost. The Emanuel's family will gather in worship on November 1st to hear the names of those who passed this year and the newly baptized.
We invite anyone to bring a standing, framed 5x7 photo of a loved one(s) they hold dear to place on the Remembrance Table below the altar.
Pastor Marcus shares more about this special service in the letter linked below.

Sunday worship on October 18th was full of special moments. It was with great joy that we welcomed new members Matisse Bernard, Margaret Schievelbein, Darby and Matt Clardy, and the Clardy children, Carsyn and Cooper. We also welcomed into the body of Christ through baptism Matt, Carsyn and Cooper. Praise to God for our siblings in Christ!
Thanks to Deb Haug who nabbed this photo from the Radio Booth while on duty as our Radio Broadcaster.

PHOTO CAPTION:
Longtime Seguin resident Ted Holtz bagged a 198 pound, 10-point Panhandle buck during the opening weekend of archery season. Holtz was joined by his neighbor and chauffeur, John Nuxoll, and his son, Steve Holtz.
Thanks to the little Emanuel's bird who called the church office to let us know she'd seen Ted's picture in the Gazette. Keep the news coming, everyone! We get a lot of great feedback from this brief section of the Weekly News.
