Unity in Faith & Love

Dear St. Philip Neri School Families and Friends,

Welcome to the 2024-25 school year. I trust that God blessed you and your families this summer, and I look forward to gathering together officially on Monday, August 19, the First Day of School. With inspiration from the Olympic Games that promote unity and peace throughout our world, our school theme this year is Unity in Faith & Love. With Jesus Christ as our model, may we truly come together and work in faith with great love and hope to ensure a successful and enjoyable year of learning for all of our students.

At St. Philip Neri School we believe that parents are the primary educators of their children. The faculty and staff partner with you to help your students maximize their potential. As partners, our communication is vital to our success, and the Tuesday Newsletter is a beacon of information from the school to families. Please take a few short minutes to read this Newsletter thoroughly each week to stay informed and connected with school events, opportunities, and expectations.

On August 14 our faculty and staff will begin their preparations for this school year, renewing and enhancing their professional relationships and community for the benefit of our students. On August 19 our students and families will join the faculty and staff in a year’s long project to work towards common goals of developing and nurturing the whole child– spiritually, intellectually, physically, socially, emotionally– in fulfillment of our philosophy.

We have welcomed new students and their families at the Uniform Exchange on July 27, and we will extend more hospitality and connection with SPN members at the Welcome Event on Thursday, August 15. We also welcome our new Secretary, Mrs. Mina Bravo; new Instructional Assistant for Grades 4 and 5, and SPN alumna, Mrs. Leah Hitchings; and our new Music Teacher, Ms. Lydia Cho.

May God continue to bless the St. Philip Neri School community throughout the 2024-25 school year. We look forward to seeing you all very soon.

Peace and Blessings,

Ms. Thomas
