2012 HLGA Season Starts April 19th

There will be a 9:00 am shotgun start every Thursday.

 Ladies need to sign up by 3:00 pm the day before play. Anyone who signs up after, will have to be worked in.

The Dues are $65 for the season.

Golf Course Update

The maintenance staff has finished slicing the greens, applying fertilizer and iron. This process will help warm up the soil and promote fast recovery of the bad areas on the greens.

Next week we will start verticutting, seeding, sanding and fertilizing the bad areas on the tees. We will also be applying iron to the fairways.

The golf course recovered very well after the storm with minimal disease damage although the gophers were quite active.

Please feel free to stop and ask me any questions that you may have about the golf course.

 Culinary Corner

 

Sure was a hopping night on Thursday for the Member Appreciation Night. Thank you to all who were able to make it and made reservations, it was greatly appreciated as always. For those who were not able to make it, we had a great time and hope to see you at the next Member Appreciation Night on April 26th.

 

With the weather warming and hopefully all the snow is over, our food and beverage team will be rebuilding staff levels in anticipation of a great season. Please feel free to welcome those who are new and refresh with those who are "seasoned" veterans.

 

Our wedding venues will be noticed more as we progress into the wedding season. We know this is a fine line when events are held here; we always want to make sure the membership is well taken care of and be able to produce some much needed revenues. Our goal is to make it as seamless as possible; allowing your expectations to be well taken care. Easter is on the horizon and reservations will be greatly appreciated for those who wish to celebrate with us. We have a great menu in the works and look forward to seeing at least two hundred members with their family and friends so please make reservations ASAP. We also have been toying with the idea of having the Friday night Fish Feast as it was a very popular menu mix for our membership. Look forward to our next article and see when this would start.
