VACCINATION REQUIREMENT
Shir Chadash requires that everyone who comes inside the building be fully vaccinated (if eligible). Proof of vaccination will be required and may be provided in advance. Masks must be worn in the building at all times. The Health Committee will reassess the need for these requirements as health conditions warrant.

Please have proof of vaccination with you when you come to the synagogue, or supply this to us beforehand.
Friendly Reminders:

  • If you would like the names of your loved ones to be published in this year's Yizkor Book, please submit the names and payment to the office before Monday, August 23. Click HERE for a new form to fill out.

  • The new Sisterhood Directory will be published soon. If you are a Congregational or Sisterhood member and DO NOT want to be listed, please contact the front office.

Elul - Counting Down to the High Holydays!
Please do read and enjoy the daily email, which has been curated by Rabbi Amy Levin of the Masorti Movement in Israel. Please take a moment each day to let the sound of Josh Sands’ Shofar call to you. And on Shabbat, let us take some time to dream what this new year might hold in store.
Let's hear that shofar blow!
Mobile Shofar Unit

Two years ago we saw the launch of our Mobile Shofar Unit.

For his Bar Mitzvah project, David Lazarus visited our homebound members so they could hear the sound of the Shofar. Last year he took his show on the road to perform the mitzvah in the open air to any who wished to hear it.

He now plans to continue this mitzvah for us again!
This year again in the open air!

Please contact Gary Lazarus to set up your appointment.
The High Holydays are just around the corner! Don't let them sneak up on you! Be prepared and stay up to date clicking the image below.

HIGH HOLIDAY GREETINGS!
Submit your own High Holiday greeting to be used in a slide show that will run throughout the livestream of our High Holiday services.

Send us a picture (MUST be in landscape format) along with your greeting (20 words maximum) by Friday, August 27th.

The suggested donation is $36; there is an option under your Chaverweb account if you would like to donate online.
The High Holidays are approaching and, with them, a wonderful opportunity for spiritual growth. The Shofar Project 5781 is a free program open to all who want to make this a year of continued awakening, responsiveness, renewal, and transformation.

Presented in partnership with an inspiring, multi-denominational coalition of organizations, The Shofar Project will take place during the Hebrew month of Elul, a traditional period for spiritual reflection, introspection, and moral accounting (August 8 - September 6). Because the upcoming year is a Shemitah, or sabbatical year, this year’s Shofar Project will focus in particular on release: of our control of our planet and other human beings, as well as habits of mind and behavior that create an unjust society.
