Serving Berkshire County Since 2008
 Greetings!
Ten years ago when we opened Berkshire Organics we had no idea it would become such an integral part of the Berkshire community. It has been an amazing experience serving you. We are incredibly grateful to each of you for your support over this past decade. Thank you!

The season of our life is changing and it’s time for us to pass the baton to someone with fresh energy who will continue to serve you in the years ahead. Many of you may know Shaun and Amanda Opperman; they are passionate about the health of this community, have earnestly supported our mission, and have been customers of Berkshire Organics for many years. We couldn’t be more pleased to be transitioning the business into their capable hands.

Berkshire Organics is not going anywhere! For the time being, everything is continuing to operate as is. While our produce, bread and bulk items remain fully stocked, you may notice we have less grocery items. We appreciate your patience as the new owner will restructure and restock the grocery inventory in the coming weeks.

Please bear with us as we make these changes. We appreciate your patience and thank you for your continued support.

SQUASH CHALLENGE
When you order a produce basket we always try and feature a new local apple variety each week. We also try to include a different Winter Squash for several weeks so you can add variety to your diet and really taste the local Fall flavors. It's a great way to challenge and introduce yourself to new items.

This weeks baskets include the
Acorn Squash
The rind of the Green acorn is hardy with a thin skin that is edible when cooked. The body of the squash is lined with deeply furrowed ridges that taper to a point opposite the squashes flattened stem end. When cooked its yellow-orange flesh offers a mildly sweet and nutty flavor.
Winter Squash Now Available:
Acorn
Butternut
Delicata
Honeynut
Pumpkin
Spaghetti
Recipes

This vegan salad has everyone's favorite vegetables and fruits with a slightly sweet and tangy dressing.

This healthy side dish features a trio of Asian flavors -- garlic, ginger, and soy.

Thank you for supporting a small, locally owned business, our local farms, and local food artisans.
