Spring Camps 2024 - Journey After Death

The Journey After Death theme will take a deep dive into what happens after we leave this world. Inspired by Sheikh Omar Suleiman's Judgment Day series, we’ll explore the stages of the soul’s journey. We’ll cover death, the grave, the Day of Judgment, and our eternal home. This theme connects to the Hadith of the Prophet SAW: “Be in this world as though you were a stranger or a traveler.” (Sahih al-Bukhari). It’s a reminder that this life is temporary and our real goal is what comes next. While some parts of this topic might feel heavy, we’ll also focus on Allah’s mercy, the rewards of the righteous, and the hope that comes with striving to be better. This camp will be about understanding the hereafter while learning how to live a meaningful and purposeful life today.

From studying tafsir and fiqh to understanding who our Creator is, who His Prophet (s) is, and who we are, this program aims to equip the youth of today with the knowledge and skills to navigate the modern world around them.

Check Out Resources to Fund Energy-Efficiency Upgrades at Your Worship Facility

Information Provided by Energy Star

Use the following resources to find product rebates, tax rebates, and potential grant funding if you’re looking to purchase energy-efficiency upgrades for your worship facility — whether large or small.

First, check out new information from ENERGY STAR on how to save energy and finance projects.

Also newly updated, the ENERGY STAR Energy Efficiency Toolkit for Worship Facilities is designed to empower congregations with the tools and resources to jumpstart or enhance your energy management program. You can use this toolkit to not only better understand your energy use, but find resources to help you measure cost reductions and finance energy-efficiency upgrades.

The ENERGY STAR Rebate Finder uses your zip code to help you find rebates and special offers near you on ENERGY STAR certified products. And consult the ENERGY STAR Product Finder for certified products, including product details, rebates, and retailers near you. Products that earn the ENERGY STAR label meet strict energy-efficiency specifications set by the U.S. EPA, helping you save energy and money while protecting the environment, with no compromise in comfort or performance.

If you’re making larger improvements, the IRS provides detailed tax information on the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022. Unlike prior years, nonprofit organizations, including worship facilities, can participate.

The Inflation Reduction Act Clean Energy Opportunity: Direct Pay for Nonprofits and Tax-Exempt Entities is a free, detailed “How To” download by the nonprofit Environmental and Energy Study Institute, which has additional content for nonprofits, including a link to a recent financing resources webinar.
