Worship continues while Rev Tory is on sabbatical for the next few months.

Dear Church Family,

In the season of Epiphany, we find ourselves walking alongside Jesus, learning how to be a disciple. This season is a beautiful reminder that, just as Jesus called ordinary people to follow Him, He extends the same invitation to each of us today. It's not just a story from the past, but a living, breathing call that resonates in our hearts and in our world.

As we navigate through a world that often feels chaotic and confusing, the teachings of Jesus offer a beacon of light, clarity, peace, and joy. It's a peace that surpasses understanding, and a joy that flourishes even in the midst of trials. But to truly experience this, we must pause, listen, and give Jesus our full attention.

This Sunday, we are thrilled to have Mark Mickelson lead us in worship. We invite each of you, whether you've been with us for years or are joining us for the first time, to be a part of this journey. Your presence adds to the richness of our community, and together, we can discover the depths of joy and peace that Jesus offers.

Come, let's walk with Jesus together, learn from His teachings, and surround ourselves with the love of God.

We look forward to seeing you this Sunday, January 21, 2024 at 11:00 a.m., and if you have time, brunch after worship.

With warmest regards and blessings,

David Huibregtse

Vice-Moderator

Request from the Wisconsin Council of Churches

The Wisconsin Council of Churches strongly encourages congregations to return to using masks in worship and other gatherings. The current wave of COVID and other respiratory virus infections calls for increased caution and use of mitigation strategies.

By some of the best measures available, we are in the second-highest COVID surge after the Omicron wave. Wisconsin, in particular, is significantly higher than national and regional trends.

Much of the increase is due to the new JN.1 variant, which is now the dominant strain in the U.S. We are also seeing very high levels of Influenza-like illnesses and RSV. Health authorities in Wisconsin report that "Influenza, RSV, and COVID are circulating widely.

Church Asset Protection “CAP”

2023-2024 Capital Campaign

We are excited to be in the midst our Church Asset Protection campaign, CAP for short, our Capital Campaign fundraiser to help raise funds for repairs, on the church building.

Maybe you worship with us occasionally, or every Sunday. You may participate in or support one of the many programs we provide in the Milwaukee community.

For more than fifty years your support has allowed us to be one of the first LGBTQ+ organizations to own a building. We are proud that with so much support we can also report we own the property free of any mortgage or debt. With this great blessing comes the great responsibility of maintaining the building.

Over the last several years we have been able to replace the HVAC and all but three of the old wooden windows. The inside of the building has been refreshed and all repairs have been completed. Now we find ourselves with many needed repairs to the outside of the building.

Our Church Asset Protection campaign helps raise funds to complete necessary repairs to our building that provides us the foundation to provide these support services. The funds will be used to complete the following:

  • The two chimneys need to be removed. A new roof needs to be installed.
  • The flat roof in the back of the building is pulling away from the side of the building and needs to be repaired.
  • The gutters are original from when they were attached to the city storm sewers and needed to be replaced and the rotting wood behind them repaired.
  • The last three wooden windows need to be replaced.
  • Lastly, the attic insulation needs to be replaced.

So, how can you help?

  • Donate to the campaign
  • Donate your time to help complete the repairs.
  • Share the campaign with friends and family to help us achieve our goal more quickly.
  • Do all 3!

Whichever you choose, your support is meaningful and makes an impact! For your convenience you can make your donation online by clicking on:
