Did you know that each month our students participate in an act of charity for members of our Richmond community?
Each grade level(1st-8th) participate in our Food for the Homeless Program. They meet in the cafeteria and bag up various item for lunches. Mr. Cruess and some of the older students then take and deliver the meals to a nearby shelter.
The PTO is looking for a
to head up this program.
-Shopping once a month for the lunch items and bringing/storing them in the school kitchen.
-Attending the day of distribution to lay out supplies and help students put the lunches together.
This is a great way to earn your PTO volunteer hours over the course of the year. The position will require roughly three hours a month.
What a great way to give back to our local community and help teach our kids a beautiful virtue.
We would also like to extend a sincere Thank You to Danielle Kelleher for leading the program last year!
