WEEKLY NEWS
June 5, 2018
This is the final newsletter for the 2017-2018 school year. We will not send out the weekly newsletter again until August. Please check your email over the summer, though, because we will have important paperwork and dates that we need to communicate.
Education Corner
In case you missed it last week, here's a re-post of an article on the classical education "house system."  We had a great time with our first House Field Day yesterday!
SBCS in Pictures
We had a wonderful Field Day! Thank you to Mr. Corcoran and all of our parent volunteers. This year's winning House was JEROME (in orange)!
School Year Book Orders
LAST CALL for school year books!
What a terrific memento for your student!
Every family should get one!
PTO News
Are you open to filling our vice president or treasurer positions? Do you need more information?

Your PTO is actively looking to fill these two positions on our PTO board. For more information, please email Jennifer Eschbach,  jmeschbach0314@comcast.net

Parent Volunteer Hours: Don’t forget to record your PTO volunteer hours. They can be entered in ParentsWeb (Family Home - Service Hours). Remember: There will be a charge for unfulfilled volunteer hours at the end of the school year which is almost here.
Student Council
The Student Council would like to thank all the people who donated pop tops (can tabs). We were able to turn in 8 1/2 pounds of pop tops to the Ronald McDonald House on Monument Avenue. They were very grateful. Keep saving up over the summer so we can get off to a strong start next year.
Lost and Found
There are many unclaimed items left in the lost and found, located in the cafeteria. If those items are not claimed by the end of the week, they will be donated to those in need.
Other Reminders
Registration Forms: If you have not yet returned the registration forms that were sent home to all returning families, please get those back to the school office as soon as possible.

Summer Hours: Summer hours for the school office are 9:00am-2:00pm Monday through Friday.  It is recommended that you email or call for an appointment to ensure that someone is in the office, since we do take vacation time over the summer.  Enjoy the summer!
